Software used

The computer we used was an IMac 21.5 inch wide screen, the computer is very easy to use and it has a simple deign. Imac have very simple software to use, and appeal to many designers and movie makers. Compared to the computer I used in GCSE its a massive improvement. The computer we used was very slow, and very frustrating to use when editing. This was the similar computer to what we used, very out of date witch made it hard to better the quality of the video, witch the new iMac is a lot clearer, as its in high definition.








For a good music video especially now, the use of technology is very important, to make a music video look clean, and clear, even for instance for a song that is aimed more towards a live band, the use of editing is still important, especially in camera shot the pace of the shots needs to be good, as a single shot of a band can look very boring for the viewer and good editing software can ensure you will get the best result for the shots, furthermore you can use filters that can make the shot look clearer, or depending on the effect you want to give, for instance if the clip you filmed was filmed in the past you can use a black and white etc.

To create my music video and animatic I used iMovie on an Apple Mac computer, personally I like working on a Apple Mac, its very easy to use and simple as you can see, furthermore I think that IMovie also is very easy to use. It has a lot of easy tools to use and is very simple to use. The downside is that it doesn't have the best software in terms of effects.












Such as software like sony vegas pro 9 which i have personally used for other projects away from school, but it can be very difficult to use as shown it looks a lot more compicated, and for a project like this I think the simplicity of the software, will only benefit the music video as trying to use to many effects will make the music video look unprofessional.






This software allows me to add music and footage and enables me to sync the footage with the music plus add various effects and changes. In a very simple way, and is very user friendly.


Compare to the GCSE software we used witch was studio 8 it is a lot better, you have more editing software to use. 




To enable me to, work at home and at school I used, the internet and a memory stick in order to transfer the data quickly without any complications. This would help me do a greater amount of work.
